I believe what you published made a bunch of sense. But, what about this? what if you wrote a catchier post title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added something that grabbed a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little plain. You could look at Yahoo's front page and note how they create article titles to grab people to click. You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to get people excited about everything've written. Just my opinion, it would bring your blog a little bit more interesting.
