I believe what you published was very logical. But, what about this? what if you were to write a killer headline? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your website, however what if you added a post title to maybe get a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should look at Yahoo's home page and see how they create post headlines to grab people to click. You might add a video or a related pic or two to get readers interested about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it would bring your website a little bit more interesting.
